Shady Rest
There are so many wonderful big fig trees in Queensland and their roots are strong and powerful. These trees offer great shade in the hot summers.
This square acrylic painting depicts a large Moreton Bay fig tree in front of a lake with two girls sitting on the roots in the shade of the tree. This particular tree is growing near the Brisbane River on a golf course and is among many large shady trees. Sue added the girls sitting below the tree as a focus of interest.
The painting is on a linen canvas, the sides are painted black and it is wired and ready to hang. It is signed on the back.
