View of the Bay

This large acrylic painting is an original scene with textured grasses and wildflowers seen in the foreground, and a vista of the bay and distant hills behind. It is in portrait format and is a peaceful, reflective painting of nature that provides serenity and beauty. The inspiration for this came to me when we visited the north of Scotland where there is so much beauty in a plethora of clouds, mists, sunlight and water providing plenty of variety to peaceful landscapes. The textures of the grasses and wildflowers are in contrast to the white sands and peaceful bay in this tranquil scene.
