Rain Rain – Go Away
This large acrylic painting is in landscape format and the subject (another rainy day) is done on a completely black background to highlight the elements of the composition.
Sue chose several of her personal photos to create this rainy scene. The background boardwalk is taken from a photograph of the Noosa boardwalk on a rainy day. The background figures are taken from people in street scenes and the main figure of the child holding a lead, which is obscured by the colourful umbrella, is taken from a family photo of one of my grandsons and his dog (who is very reluctant to be walked in such wet conditions.)
The sides of the painting are painted black. It is signed on the back and is wired and ready to be hung.
