Shared Mail I

This original acrylic painting was inspired by two photographs (amongst many) which Sue took of various aspects of the interior of Warwick castle, England. As she was late to get back to her tour bus she didn’t have time to appreciate all the history and wonderful aspects held within the castle walls so took many photos.
The two women (made out of wax) were not sitting together but Sue decided to make a bit of story about them sharing a letter while they partook of tea (and cake) as if they were sisters or close friends in a bygone era. She decided to paint it traditionally, incorporating the detail of their long white dresses as they lounge in chairs with the tea trolley against the light of the window.
The large canvas is in landscape format and is ready to hang.
It is signed at the back and the sides are painted blue black.
