Box Jelly Fish is a whimsical imaginary scene of various fish in a tank. Sue liked the play on words and decided that some of the fish would be ‘box-like’ and represent an invented species called ‘Box Jelly Fish.’ She was influenced by boxes of jelly that she kept in her pantry for when her grandchildren visited.
The mixed media painting is colourful with the ‘box jelly fish’ swimming towards the observers on the other side of the glass tank. There are various other fish species in the water.
This playful scene is in portrait format and is wired and ready to hang. The sides are painted black and it is signed on the back of the canvas.
