Tales Alive

This is an original acrylic painting in landscape format with the thought that reading opens up the mind to imagination. Sue took a photo of a child reading an illustrated book at a sports carnival. The little boy was totally absorbed in his book and completely oblivious to the shouting and cheering and crowd activity around him, which led her to thinking about this composition. The background colours are bright swirling abstract patterns interlinked with the toys and books around the boy. This colourful composition is finished in universal varnish and the sides are painted in blue black. It is signed on the back and wired ready to hang.
