Ocean Swim by Sue Hill
Sue has created an overall pattern with this little acrylic painting. She loves the vibrant colours of competitors apparel in most forms of sport. Here she has taken advantage of this by painting the fluorescent bathing caps against the blue of the waves randomly, to suggest the sea swimmers. The overarm stroke of the swimmers adds movement and energy as do the splash of the waves.
This sporting painting started with a red background before defining the shapes of contestants in this ocean swim. Sue later added the blues and whites of the sea.
The painting is sealed and ready to hang and it is signed on the back. The edges are painted black.
