This is a small original acrylic painting in a portrait format on stretched canvas.
The painting is a conglomeration of images, mostly fanciful, to make up the composition of a wedding scene with focus on the congregation in the church pews. The light shines through the windows and door as the bridal group enters. Just seen at the doorway is a half-hidden person watching on.
Sue have always had a fascination for weddings and when she first moved to Brisbane and didn’t know many people, she would walk down to the Mt. Coot’tha botanical gardens in Brisbane and watch groups partaking in garden weddings.
The figures in the composition of the interior of the church were painted on a red background.
The sides of the painting are 4 cm deep and painted in blue black.
The painting is signed in full at the back of the painting.
