The Cat’s Out of the Bag

This is an original acrylic painting on a rectangular canvas in landscape format. Sue began by drawing the subject and the texture of the carpet mat and cat in willow charcoal. Sue sealed this and then painted soft washes over the drawing.
Sue finds cats entertaining subjects to draw and paint for their independence, flexibility and expression. This in one of Sue’s ‘rescue’ cats. If there is a box or a bag of any kind lying around, she will invariably get into it.
The painting is finished in universal varnish and the sides are a deep blue black. It is wired and ready for hanging and is signed on the back of the canvas.
