Sleepy Frogmouth

This is a small original acrylic painting in a landscape format and is painted on a stretched canvas. The little owl is sleepy and can barely open his eyes as he snuggles against the tree.
Some years ago a friend had several Frogmouth owls roosting on a tree in the front of her house. The owls could be photographed through a large clear window, which was on a level with the tree branches. It was a heart-warming experience to witness them and later, for Sue to paint them.
The painting has a smooth glossy finish and it is ready to hang. The sides are 4 cm deep and Blue-Black in colour. It is signed on the bottom RH corner and at the back of the painting.
