Seaside Pathway

Sue began by priming the canvas in red and then painting in the idyllic scene, which is partially taken from a photographic reference taken by Sue of a scene in Scotland. The pathway stretches for many kilometres along the coastline of Scotland and down into England. This particular scene is in beautiful shade with a stream running under the bridge. Sue found the challenge of drawing in the dappled shadows was fun and the light on the sea was uplifting.
