This small acrylic landscape is named for the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm gardens.   Sue was travelled to this Pearl Farm on the Dampier Peninsula of Western Australia, near Cape Leveque last year and was inspired by the deep shadows and bright sunlight to paint the beautiful, lush garden near the pearl shop.

The successful pearl farm was established in 1848, but it wasn’t until Dean Brown arrived here in 1946 that a multicultural community was established with the Bardi and Jawi Indigenous people. It was successfully run by the Brown family for four generations.

Sue has painted this landscape in portrait format and it is wired and ready to hang. The edges are painted black and it is signed on the back.
