Keeping Cool
Keeping Cool by Sue Hill.
Sue’s inspiration for this sunny acrylic painting of three kids playing in shallow water came from the coastal town of 1770 in the Gladstone region of Queensland. The northern beaches of this area are un-spoilt and the area was first discovered by Captain Cook’s second visit to Australia in 1770.
It is a safe swimming area ideal for kids wanting to cool off. Sue has painted two of the boys in an inflatable ring and the third child is on the left with a yellow surfboard. Paddle boarders and a boat can be seen in the distance.
The painting is sealed with matt varnish and is in landscape format. The sides are painted black and it is wired and ready to hang. Sue has signed the painting on the back.
