This acrylic painting is painted over a flower painting that Sue felt was underwhelming and didn’t meet her expectations. She decided to paint over the florals using soft washes of colour to portray these girls, almost as if they are presented here are in a slightly intoxicated state. The girls’ clothes allow the flower designs of the original painting to come through and this can be seen in a slight tattooed effect on their arms. It is called ‘Flower Power ‘as it reminded Sue to the ‘sixties era.
The sides are painted black and the painting is signed on the back. It is wired ready for hanging.
