Dog Weed

This is an original acrylic painting in a square format on stretched canvas.
Recently I was reading a novel, which had a description of someone walking amongst the ‘dog weed.’ As I had no idea what ‘dog weed’ was, I researched it and found that they were clumps of bright yellow flowers, which come in different sub species of plant throughout many parts of the world. One thing led to another and the idea for this painting came to mind andI have placed a variety of dogs amongst the petals of the bright yellow flowers.The sides of the painting are 4 cm deep and painted in blue black.The painting is signed in full at the back of the painting.
