Sue has painted this rectangular landscape in a pointillist style. She wanted to show the contrasts of light and dark and the beautiful branch shapes of Jacaranda trees which are in a local park near where she lives. Sue painted the Jacarandas in August as the trees are losing their leaves. In September or October, they will be a profusion of lilac colour. In the painting there are several people in the park, including a group having a picnic on the grass and a couple of girls walking their dogs along the path. Brisbane park scene with people enjoying the good weather under the trees. Some picnic while others walk their dogs. This acrylic painting is sealed with universal varnish and the sides are painted black. It is signed on the back and is wired and ready to hang.“Painting is just another way of keeping a diary.” Pablo Picasso
