Busy Bus Stop by Sue Hill
Sue began this acrylic painting by dripping coloured washes from the edges of the canvas in a grid-like pattern. She found an old black and white photo reference of an old Brisbane bus stop dated 1947 and decided this was a more interesting subject to create. She sketched in the scene with charcoal and exaggerated the size of some of the people in the foreground to give depth to the crowd, before painting the scene.
It is sealed with a matt varnish and is wired and ready to hang. The edges are painted black and it is signed on the back.
