Bucket of Fun

This original acrylic/mixed-media canvas is textured and in portrait format. Large areas on the canvas are left unpainted to allow the viewer to fill in gaps.
The inspiration for this painting came from photographs which Sue took on a beautiful beach on the small island of Waiheke in New Zealand.
To gain a textured surface, Sue crumpled tissue paper and placed it over the canvas and glued it with acrylic medium. Once this was dry, she sealed the paper and using acrylics painted this beach scene. It was sealed on completion with varnish.
