Sue began this large square acrylic canvas by priming the canvas in pink then starting with the blue sky, she gradually added the clouds, sea and foreground beach. Lastly, Sue added the detail such as the people – surfers, dog walkers etc.
The inspiration for this painting came from several photos taken south of Port Macquarie which show the vastness of the land and sea.
The painting is sealed with matt varnish and the sides are painted black. Sue painted the pine box frame white to give the scene the freshness of the sea air. It is wired and ready to hang. It is signed on the back and initialled on the front right-hand lower corner.
