Boabs by Sue Hill.
Sue was inspired to paint his colourful landscape of Boab trees and grasses by the scenery at Prince Regent River in the East Kimberly area of Western Australia. She enjoyed seeing these magnificent trees and the colourful grasses on a recent trip to WA as they remind her so much of places in Africa where she lived as a child. These trees are growing on an island with no natural water so are true nature survivors. Early pastoral settlers were unsuccessful in establishing agricultural lands due to the lack of water and the extreme tides.
Sue has painted this scene in portrait format in acrylics. It is sealed with matt varnish; the edges are painted black and it is wired and ready to hang. It is signed on the back.
