Circular Beat by Sue Hill
Sue created this mixed media abstract painting on a canvas onto which she had pasted various carboard shapes, tissue paper and a gauze-like materials. She sealed these with a medium and allowed them to dry before adding water-based art bars and acrylic paint. The patterns formed were defined more to give shapes and form. Sue decided she liked the almost-musical rhythmic affects of this and sealed the canvas with a couple of layers of matt varnish.
The sides are painted black and it is wired and ready to hang. Sue has signed it on the back.
