Pink Burst by Sue Hill.
This mixed media floral painting began with coloured tissue paper being glued onto a primed canvas. Sue added texture using moulding paste and thick paint followed by acrylic pens to give a stylised version of growth in repetitive patterns. The large pink Cordyline is painted in fluorescent pink, which is a feature of these colourful leaves.
The surface has been varnished in a matt medium and the sides are painted black. The painting is in portrait format and is wired and ready to hang. It is signed on the back.
