This acrylic painting is a cameo of a possible neighbourhood in Brisbane. The canvas is painted in portrait format and has a textured surface and a matte finish.
Sue was influenced by bright colour of spring/summer in tropical Brisbane and it features a ‘fabricated’ neighbourhood scene with a magpie in the foreground, kids enjoying the pool and garden in middle ground. Roof tops of houses and glimpsed gardens as well as a large jacaranda and a Hills hoist feature in the upper half of the painting.
The painting is signed on the back, the sides are painted black and is wired ready to hang.
