This Impressionistic acrylic painting is of a sandy pathway bordered by grasses and trees. Sue was inspired to paint this scene from a photograph taken near Brown Lake on North Stradbroke Island. A beautiful part of Queensland. It was a clear day, and the wind was really blowing the long grass toward the path.
Sue painted the canvas in red allowing the mother colour to appear here and there in the painting. Initially it was painted with a palette knife and large brush. It is finished with a few coats of satin varnish. The sides are painted black and it is signed on the back and is wired and ready to be hung.
